The 2020 Tournament
C19 It is with great disappointment and sadness that the Executive Officers of the Sandilands and Sutton-on-Sea Tennis Tournament committee have reluctantly taken the decision to cancel this year's event due to take place on Monday August 3rd to Friday August 7th.
The decision has not been taken lightly, but the health and well-being of everyone involved, and the residents of Sandilands and Sutton on Sea, is the Tournament committee's top priority.
We have been closely monitoring the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak and based on advice and information issued by the Government and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) we felt that we had no option but to cancel the tournament for this year.
We are aware of course that many people rent accommodation for the 1st week of August and we hope that making an early decision will allow them to make alternate plans.
The Tournament committee would like to take this opportunity to say that we hope that you and your families are safe and well at this difficult time, and we hope to see you all in 2021 when the tournament will start on Monday 2nd August.
